Scottish Landscape Painting Locations On Arran Scotland

The Isle of Arran off the West coast of Scotland is one of my favourite locations to visit and work on paintings of the landscapes and seascapes.

I live in Gourock, 30 miles West of Glasgow, so it's only a short drive to get on the ferry at Ardrossan. Or the more scenic route is to get on the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon and take the road to Claonaig for the ferry to Lochranza. Whatever route you take to Claonaig it is well worth the drive (you can always take the shortcut and get the ferry from Portavadie to Tarbet).

Once on Arran, you have many painting views to choose from - The Goatfell, Glen Rosa, Brodick Castle, Lochranza Castle, Machrie Moor, The King's Cave, Ailsa Craig and the list goes on.
